A day of worship, debate and fellowship
We will be welcoming friends from the German Methodist Church as guests, and also young people who will be partaking in a parallel event during the day.
The main business of the day will be the debate and voting on the resolutions relating to the ‘God in Love Unites Us’ report. The five resolutions are included with this mailing, and we will vote on each one by secret ballot. The resolutions can be amended by Synod, but all amendments must be submitted in advance by 25th March with a named proposer and seconder and will be sent out in writing to all Synod members. Synod members will also be sent a short report from each circuit on their conversations on the report for their prayerful reflection. If the Synod wishes to submit an amendment for debate on the floor of the Conference, it will need to submit this in the form of a District Resolution.
